In a world still reeling from the Blip, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, a shadowy figure with her own agenda, handpicks seven unlikely individuals, each burdened by a checkered past and unique abilities, for a clandestine mission. Among them is Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier, haunted by his past as a brainwashed assassin, and Yelena Belova, the lethal Black Widow seeking purpose after her sister’s sacrifice. Alexei Shostakov, the Red Guardian, a washed-up Soviet super-soldier yearning for his glory days, and John Walker, the disgraced U.S. Agent, desperate to redeem himself after his fall from grace, complete the core of this volatile team. Tasked with infiltrating a heavily fortified separatist nation to retrieve a stolen bioweapon, the Thunderbolts find themselves constantly at odds, battling not only external threats but also their own inner demons and conflicting ideologies. As they navigate treacherous landscapes and face seemingly insurmountable odds, the team begins to unravel a deeper conspiracy that threatens to destabilize global peace.
